Degu sounds

Degus are social animals and have a broad range of vocalisation. The following record should give you an insight in the language of our degus and the noises they can produce.

Degu language and noises

Audio files

Most of the audio files are exclusively available as ogg vorbis. This file type is readable for the most media players, however some older ones may have problems. If your player cannot read this file type, use the mp3 version, if possible or for the other files, it is recommended to download an up-to-date media player. For Windows the following players (among others) can read ogg vorbis: Winamp (http://www.mpex.net/winamp/) or Zinf (http://www.zinf.org, Windows-Download). For Linux ogg vorbis is well supported and usually should not cause any problems. For Mac OS should exist appropriate players as well. For example the VLC media player should read the files.
